The Ravine Residence situated in a huge gap in the system environment of North Toronto, design by Hariri Pontarini Architects. Designed to accommodate the integration of living with nature, the external treatment of this house will examine carefully honed language of natural materials, while the slightly curved front façade carefully sculpted, presenting a solid entities into the street. Accented with simple tones of limestone France, wood detailing, rift-cut oak and teak window, this private home is juxtaposed with the natural greenery of the adjacent ravine. Completed within the central site, two-storey house is designed to enhance the views into two pyramidal oaks and catalpa tree in front with a silver maple and Japanese maple in the back. This private residence sculpted space echo understanding of human comfort.
