Maison du Conseil Général Building in France by L’Autre Fabrique Architectures

The General Council building redesigned by L’Autre Fabrique Architectures occupies three floors of a former tobacco factory in Saint-Marcellin. A large steel frame rises above the square, highlighting the change and the name of the institution.

The building is separated into distinct sections of operation; on the ground floor, the lobby is generously sized to house temporary exhibitions relating to the actions of the Maison du Conseil Général. The first floor of the building is split into two areas: one for receiving the public, the other reserved for staff.

Kona Residence in Hawaii by Belzberg Architects

Belzberg Architects finished Kona Residence, beautiful home sited between cooled lava flows in Hawaii. The program is arranged as a series of pods distributed throughout the property, each having its own unique features and view opportunities. The pods are programmatically assigned as two sleeping pods with common areas, media, master suite and main living space. This contemporary house sited on a densely built block in the Plateau Mont-Royal neighbourhood in Montréal, designed by Paul Bernier.
