Bamboo Structure Project by Pouya Khazaeli Parsa

This “Bamboo Dome” projected in 40 sqm area in Mazandaran Iran by Pouya Khazaeli Parsa. The bamboo was cut two days prior to use. This ensured it was still soft and flexible during construction and would subsequently become rigid once built. It is however possible to keep the bamboo alive after construction and thus ensure the structure remains green and supple. This distinctive structure provides highly cost effective shelter and emergency housing. Sustainable Flood-Proof House by Studio Peek Ancona

The prefab Flood-Proof House built in area contains a small 1940 mid-century modern beach house on half of the lot, located near the San Andreas Fault. The client request to achieve maximum sustainability and minimum site alteration is addressed through innovative uses of structure and materials. Interlocking horizontal steel moment frame and truss system: this maximizes usable space above the flood level, cantilevering atop the wave-proof columns. Bamboo House Design in Costa Rica by Benjamin Garcia Saxe

Inspirited by forest, Benjamin Garcia Saxe was design sustainable Bamboo House in Guanacaste Costa Rica. The house inverts the role of the forest by bringing it inside the house. An internal patio provides space for functions to rotate about. The house is divided into two living modules, one private bedroom and one public kitchen/living area.
