Sustainable House Design
This sustainable residential building created by Scott M Kemp Architect on the south banks of the Fraser River, Canada. This house design incorporates features of sustainability and the house has achieved a LEED PLATINUM rating from the Canadian Green Building Council. Two side zones are two story elements while the central zone is a large vaulted space. The Casa Larga designed by Swiss architect Daniele Claudio Taddei, sited at the edge of the village in the middle of a Ticinese vineyard, jutting high above Lake Maggiore, in Brissago Switzerland. The Silo House presented by Cornell University Students for international solar house design, the 2009 Solar Decathlon. The 2009 Cornell University Solar Decathlon House engages sustainable, modular design with a unique assembly of circular and orthogonal elements, formally similar to the vernacular architecture found in upstate New York.
