The 23.2 House is a single family house created by Omer Arbel architect sited on a large rural acreage outside Vancouver in the West Coast of Canada. The design of the house itself began, as a point of departure, with a depository of one hundred year old Douglas Fir beams reclaimed from a series of burned down ware- houses. Maison du Conseil Général Building in France by L’Autre Fabrique Architectures

The General Council building redesigned by L’Autre Fabrique Architectures occupies three floors of a former tobacco factory in Saint-Marcellin. A large steel frame rises above the square, highlighting the change and the name of the institution.

The building is separated into distinct sections of operation; on the ground floor, the lobby is generously sized to house temporary exhibitions relating to the actions of the Maison du Conseil Général. The first floor of the building is split into two areas: one for receiving the public, the other reserved for staff.

Architecture Uniqlo Shanghai Store by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson

Bohlin Cywinski Jackson Architects just finished a modern flagship store building for Uniqlo Shanghai, introduce their brand and house their offices. The branding of the store required visibility of location with windowless space to display product however the government prevented exterior lighting or removal of the existing facade glass. A rotating series of mannequins inhabit the entry. Robotic lighting tracks patron activity and engages them in a dramatic experience. Architecture Design of Xi Gallery by SKM Architects

The Xi Gallery building sited adjacent to Hapjeong Subway Station along the ‘Yangwha Expressway’ in Seogyo-dong, Seoul, Republic of Korea. Projected by SKM Architects, this is a temporary facility for developers to sell apartments that they have developed. These facilities are commonly called ‘Model Houses’ or ‘Sample Houses’ and are made out of reusable steel structures and economical modular panels and normally destroyed after 3~5 years of use. Also, the facility has temporary building permits from the city which last about 3~5 years of occupation.

Contemporary Larix House Design by Corvin Cristian Architects

The Wooden Larix House situated near Snagov Lake Romania, designed by Corvin Cristian. The walls are to be filled with a collection of paintings. The lot is narrow thus generating the plan and position. For intimacy reasons, the street elevation is totally opaque while the openings abound towards the courtyard.
